This weekend we were lucky to have a quick visit by Nancy and Grandma Mary. Even luckier that we had been practicing hair for the wedding earlier in the morning so m was rocking a snazzy flower in her hair.
We couldn't pass up the opportunity to get four generations in one shot. Unfortunately that's when the luck ran out and the is the best one we got (I think M's face is my favorite part).
This month as been a huge one as far as awareness goes. She now loves to sit out and watch what's going on in the word.
She also has become quite the wiggle worm. She loves to wiggle her arms and legs and reach for toys, especially while on her play mat (which Jean brilliantly figured out fits into the pack 'n play much to our back's delight).
Basically anyone who meets her can't help but to love her (and kiss her awesome cheeks)

We spent part of our Friday afternoon in Boston making challah. Grammy supervised, the kids did the hard work, and I tried to hold the camera steady while laughing. I think I had the hardest job :o)
Want to observe the differences in kids personalities? Give them a chance to bake bread - it's amazing.
In case I gave the wrong impression with my last post, let me clarify that there was plenty of time spent in Boston with the three big kids all playing together.
Of all the fun interactions that happened in Boston I think watching Noah and C get to know each other was probably my favorite. Mostly c just thinks that Noah is REALLY cool, and Noah is kind enough to let her tag along. At the beginning of the weekend there was a lot of c watching as Noah played:
But eventually c warmed up and started jamming right along.
Folks who have met m know that she's a bouncer. Luckily, the Boston crew was able to wrangle a yoga ball for our visit, and we put it to good use.
Pretty much any time m was fussy she got a ride on the big red ball, which meant the adults all got a turn to bounce along with her :o)
It also put her at the perfect level for visiting with cousins.
Both Noah and Eva loved playing with m, which was so much fun to watch. I can't wait to blow they're mind when she's twice as big the next time they see her!
Another exciting thing about Grammy's house is the new senior center going up just down the street. Workers are there 6 days a week which gave c LOTS of time to watch.
So last week we went to Boston. Lots of awesome stuff including a very cool playground within walking distance of mom's house. C was totally psyched about the new challenge.
The lily pads were fun, but nothing compared to the giant web (which I didn't get as many pictures of since I wanted to actually spot this one).
Perhaps a professional rock climber when she grows up?
I go back to work tomorrow. I'm all sorts of torn up about it, but rather then dwelling on tomorrow I decided to take advantage of today. M & I had lunch out with Alex and we did a lot of this:
Good napping habits can wait for another day - today the most important thing was snuggles.
Yesterday Alex and Charlotte went on some errands, with the vague plan to maybe look at some tricycles. Then I get the following text:
Apparently they decided in the store that trikes were for punks, and to move right on up to the two wheeler. Crazy.
They ended up skipping the iron man bike, and selecting a nice pirate themed one instead. After rest we took it out and it was clear that bike was certainly the way to go.
Mind you, this is her very first time out on this bike. All I can say it's a good thing we have jogging strollers.
Most impressive part:
When coming around the path in the park she missed a turn on a downhill and ended up down in a drainage ditch. I put the break on the stroller and ran down after her. Pulled out the bike, and pulled her out. She was definitely crying, but after a minute or two got RIGHT back on the bike and was off again. The girl's incredible.
So if you haven't seen the video of an ex-gymnast destroying an obstacle course on the TV show "America Ninja Warrior", you need to. It's awesome. Here's the clip:
They started transition visits at daycare today. C got to spend a little time in Raccoon house. I found this on their Facebook page - apparently Raccoon house = construction worker school :o)
