Visitors

Thank you Madison Ruby conference for bringing the Pytels to visit!
I promise Eva really is still bigger than little C

The cousins arrived on Saturday evening and we had a great time playing around the house and on the playground across the street. Sunday was rain and gross so we abandoned plans for the boat and headed to the Madison children's museum instead. It was AWESOME, but I forgot my camera. Bummer.

Monday was beautiful again, so we were off to the Zoo! Turns out our zoo kicks the pants off other free zoos.

Everyone had an awesome time which we wrapped up with a ride on the train.

Good times had by all - many more pictures on Picasa if you're interested (let me know and I'll send you the link).

Thank you Pytels for an amazing weekend!

11 Months (or Poor Aardvark)

Happy 11th month birthday little c! Today we celebrated being lucky enough to know you for 11 whole months by continuing to take pictures of you with your friend Arthur the Aardvark. However, it seem that you've acquired a taste...
Now nom-noming on toys is usually not a problem, and actually might help the FOUR teeth that you're working on feel better, but it makes it hard to see your pretty face. So I interviened...

And yet, you still managed to remember that there's so much to see and do that you can't possibly hold still long enough for a picture. All 21 lbs of you (we had a follow up for your Boston ear infection today so we know you broke the 21 lb mark) is very very busy.

I finally figured out that perhaps picking the whole crew up was the way to go.
No wonder my back hurts.

Only one month to go until the big one! Until then, stay well dear aardvark.

Camp Grammy, Part 4

Friday was an interesting day. C woke up in a terrible mood and started yanking on her left ear during breakfast. She'd been fighting a cold all week so a part of me knew we were probably doomed. After a call with her PCP and the insurance company we were off to visit Fitchburg MA's finest at the urgent care center. 3 hours later c and Grammy were hanging our at Rachel's, while I was waiting at Walgreens for amoxicillin and Sue was rounding up dinner at whole foods. C was an amazing trooper - you'd never know she was hurting based on how much fun she had with cousins.

Not pictured but way impressive. At the end of the night me and c were in the living room alone getting her chances into pjs before the ride home. She sits up, waves, and goes "itty". I look around and sure enough, Rachel's cat is staring at us.

Camp Grammy, Part 3

Thursday was a fairly low key day. No big plans for beach or visits, but we certainly kept ourselves busy :) Grammy and Grammy Sue bought a new tent for their upcoming camping trip so we went out exploring nearby very cool neighborhoods before picking up the tent in the morning. We hung out around the house in the afternoon, and c made her first attempt at rock (or wood pellet) climbing. The night ended with a wonderful camp fire once c was in bed, and many marshmallows were had by all.

Camp Grammy, Part 2

Today - the beach. We headed to Salisbury state park which was about an hour and a half away (awesome car time for naps), and spent the bulk of the day watching waves, water and people. C loved loved loved it. She had no fear at all of the waves and had way fun playing in the sand. And I, yet again, am really glad I got a new camera :)
