Generally I try to include pictures in every post, but this story is cute enough I think it does an okay job of standing on its own...
Scene: Monday morning. Alex is traveling for work again. It's the first Monday of the month so max has to go to the kennel so the house cleaners can come, and it's -10 degrees outside so leaving either of the little ones in the car while I drop off the other one isn't an option.
I decided the easiest way to pull the morning off would be to load everyone in the car, and bring c in when I dropped off max. Unfortunately, I didn't think about the fact that c had never been to a kennel before. Nor would she understand what was going on when I handed max's leash to the nice lady, and then max went through one door when we walked back through the other. By the time we were back in the car c was good and crying, and all I could get out of her as to why was that she loved max.
She had calmed down a bit by the time we got to daycare. But you could tell she was still upset about the whole ordeal, and didn't quite believe me when I told her max would be home after school.
When I picked her up the teacher's shared that she had been taking about max all day. We got home, she went straight to his kennel to say hi, and for the first time ever max got the question "what you do today?"
The girl has good taste in best friends, what can I say :o)
