Art explained

The barage of art from school continues (which is awesome), but today's had me a bit confused. Both girls came home with paper plates that had been painted with holes cut out.

Turns out they were both crowns...

And lion manes.

Crafty

So both girls started religous school a couple weeks back. Given the ages it's mostly songs, stories, and crafts, but I have to say the teachers are clever about it. For example, this week in the "tot" room, M and I made candles:

While downstairs in the 3-4 y/o room, the kids made candle stick holders:

Put it together (like all but one of the families in the program are going to be able to do based on age splits), and you're totally ready for friday night!

A land before time

The girls seem to be in a dino unit at school.

The themes seem to be school wide, at least based on the art projects. I'm not sure why else we'd be the lucky recipients of two stegosaurus on the same night :o)

(did I get the name right on that dino saba?)

Budding Artist

Dad shared the brilliant idea of taking pictures of kids artwork in order to help capture the memories without the bulk of carting around the artwork itself. So I'm breaking out a brand new label for C's debut - Art! She seems to be going through a blue/brown phase. The flowers are pretty neat though :o)
