Here's a picture of max

Now while it's a fun picture because due to perspective max's head looks even bigger than normal, the really cool part is that picture got from my new camera, to the hard drive of my computer, without me doing ANYTHING. I bought myself a fancy new "eye-fi" memory card - one of those fancy ones that automatically downloads pictures for me, so no more having things stuck on my camera forever. Hurray!

Eyes

We had a Wonderful visit from my Dad and Melanie this past weekend. While we love seeing those guys no matter what, one of the definite perks is my dad's skill with a camera. I am always astonished in the way he captures expressions. I love the faces Charlotte makes, and I especially love her eyes.

So here you go, a study in eyes.

New seat

Last week I had to be dressed up a lot at work, which translated to heals most days. I pretty quickly came to the realization that a 19 lb baby in an infant carries is not something that I can safely lug around in heals. So, goodbye carrying the infant seat around:

And hello new seat!

We're still using the infant carrier in Alex's car since it's rated up to 30 lbs, but I am very happy to leave it there and just carry the baby back and forth. We've also all but given up on cloth diapers, so picking little c up at daycare now a days is a breeze!

Ahoy Mate

First word!

Big news! C said her first word today, witness by me, Nana and Saba. We were all in the living room, C was on the floor, I walked over and she very clearly looked up at me, put her hands up and said "up". It was awesome :o)

New Camera!

My birthday present to myself this year was a new camera. Not quite as fancy as dad's, but MUCH more portable. And at the end of the day, it has to be portable to be used :o)

After the big trip little C was pretty happy to revisit life's simple pleasures (like her big red ball that Alex won for her at the fair)

For the record

A couple of milestones have been reached at the old provan residence. Little c has replaced the army crawl with the real thing. She has both of her lower front teeth (and may be working in more based on her temperament today). And the newest one - today she started to stack things! Just another great use of coasters.

Utah Trip Part 3

Saturday was the big day for Kelly and Dan. They had their wedding at a ski lodge that Alex and I had actually eaten at while skiing Deer Valley before. I have to say - it was much easier to get around without ski boots on :o)

Kelly was radiant, and Caroline was beautiful as her maid of honor. We took lots of great pictures.

Utah Trip Part 2

Friday in Utah was adventure day. Alex and Norm headed out in the morning for a round of golf. While Jean, Grandpa Roy, me and C headed to the pool at a development where Norm and Jean own a lot.

After some good swimming it was time for a snack. I call this series "the love of mum mums"

Utah Trip Part 1

A week ago we flew out to Utah for a visit centered around Kelly's wedding. It was the first time we've flown since CA, and I was a little anxious since C is moving so much more now a days, but she did great on the flight. We got in Wednesday afternoon and had a fun early birthday party for Caroline, complete with pizza party :o)

Thursday Norm and Jean hosted a rehearsal dinner for Kelly and Dan at their house. Trick was that it didn't actually start until when we're usually putting C to bed. Hence the "pre" pictures in the outfit I was planning on wearing:

And the "during" pictures in the outfit I ended up wearing with C in a sling all evening.

At least the wedges (not pictured, but possibly my favorite part of both outfits) made it all evening!
