Grimace

Special Guest Post by M's Daycare Teachers...

You look like Grimace in your snow suit!!   That or a grape.   You have been fabulous.  You finally roll over from back to your front.   Now we need to see it the other way.   We cannot believe how much you can eat in a day....about 23-25 ounces a day.   Unbelievable.   You like to watch what is going on especially with the older kids.   You also love your daily visits from "mama" Corrie!!!

Bring on the grub

So we decided. Today was the day. M got to eat :o)

Well, more accurately, she got avocado on a place mat. And she was a big fan. She didn't get much in her mouth, but she definitely had fun grabbing at the avocado and mushing it in her hands. After a while I grabbed a spoon and helped some to her mouth. She promptly took the spoon away, held it herself, and had fun chewing on that for a while as well. Then she chewed on her bib for a while. Then she went after the place mat...and we called it a day. Overall, not many calories consumed, but a huge success anyway :o)

5 months!

Well, big m passed the 5 months mark yesterday. It's pretty ridiculous how fast things have been flying by. She is:

• still super happy most of the time. She loves to smile and laugh with anyone willing to play.
• still exclusively breast milk fed, but getting super interested in what we're doing at dinner time. Last night she sat with us all through dinner, chowing away on her chew toy and looking around to make sure we were still doing what she was doing :o)
• rolling both front to back and back to front, but being super shy about it. She'll roll for us at home, but daycare still hasn't caught it.
• super lovable, way fun, and a joy.

Fun in the leaves

We had a fantastic weekend here at home. Lots of time hanging around, and luckily lots of time outside soaking up the last of the fall sunshine.  We also had leaves.

 And leave piles...

which just kept getting bigger and better...

Eventually we figured out that it might be fun to sit in the leaves and started to attempt a sister shot.

Jean did an admirable job getting m propped up.

I think he might have had more fun that the girls. Lots of kissed and giggles all around :o)

Costumes

Thank you Grammy for the fantastic costumes! They arrives yesterday and we had good fun today getting everyone dressed up. We can't wait for Halloween :o)

Rollin'

It's been fun to get reports from daycare about m starting to roll and skoot. It's even more fun to see the pictures :o)

The big 3 for c

Ahhhh 3. A strange little word where pasta which should be fine is totally offensive, and then the following night curry with tofu and veggies is totally okay. C is totally three.

She's doing great at daycare, clearly had a great time out in Utah, and continues to amaze with her vocabulary and physical prowess At her 3 year appointment yesterday she weighed in at almost 33 lbs and 37.8 inches, now sitting comfortably around the 65th percentile line. She LOVES m, and is actually pretty helpful around her most of the time. All things considered she handled the crazy of September pretty darn well, but I think we're all looking forward to October :o)
