Moose on the loose!

What a fun morning we had! The girls both ran their first ever trail race :)

It started with gearing up with tatoos

Then getting psyched upon arrival

C's group took off first:

And then M's group about five minutes later. M decided she wanted me to run with her so no video of the start, but we did get this one of her about 3/4 of the way through.

We had a chance to get her finisher's necklace and a snack before C came in:

We were about to take off and then they started annoucing winners so we stuck around only to hear that M took 3rd place in the mini moose divison!

Super super fun morning, and we were super grateful to be at our race, and not the redbull400 happening up the hill (yes there are people running UP the ski jump).

Tuesday Update #7

Update #7 - of horses and snow

Oh hi readers

We've been reading some good books here this week

And also celebrating valentines day

where c got the worlds most brillant valentine (for those who live in cold weather - it's a pack of tissues!!!)

But anyway, two big stories for this week. First, Saturday night we used a gift certificate I had gotten as a going away present from my old work to take the girls on a sleigh ride dinner excursion. It was WAY fun.

And then we followed it up on Sunday by heading up to the Ranch where there is a serious amount of snow.

Tuesday Update #2

Since the last update:

M's started ski lessons

and loved it.


C started her program for the year and also loved it. And decided she wants to do aireals when she grows up, which here you can go and watch from about 2 feet away.

And I started a new job which I think is going to be very good but man is it hard to get up to speed with a new job. So no pictures on that front. I did ski powder this weekend for the first time so we can toss that one up as a milestone, but no pictures were taken because it was snowing so hard that my phone would have gotten soaked if I took it out from my jacket. Ah life in the mountains :)

Halloween fun

The weekend before we had way fun carving pumpkins with the neighbors.

Trick or treating in my office was again a huge hit.

So many fun things, and so little blogging! The weekend before Halloween we did a fun run.. in costume.

Olympic Park

After Alex finished his half a couple of weeks back the girls and I stuck around to see the raffel. And it turns out it was a good thing we stuck around because he won a pass to the olypmic park!

We've gone a couple of times to see the jumpers, but never to play ourselves. C and I took the day on Sunday and it was amazingly awesome :)
