Welcome Colt

While not very many blog posts have been posted over the last few months, we have been busy here in the blue house. One of the biggest changes is the adoption of a new friend, Mr Colt.

We adopted him a couple of weeks ago from a rescue in Salt Lake and have had so much fun getting to know each other. Billed as a "lab mix" our vet is going with ~3 y.o. lab/dane/hunter mix. Which makes sense because he plays fetch like a lab, has the legs of a dane, and barks like a hound dog :)

He loves the backyard and will play fetch indefinitely.

Even when it's snowy/rainy and we make him wear boots.

He's learning to tolerate the crate

But much prefers when one of us is working from home

Or better yet, relaxing at home.

But fair warning to those of you with visits on the calendar - don't trust this face anywhere near your food...

...currently a counter surfer and food theif extrodinare - we definitely have some training yet to do.

Welcome to the mad city / park city Provan crew Colt!

blast from the past

It's so fun to remember a book from when you were little. A while ago dad sent me this gem...

...which I apparently got when I was two...

...and is apparently timeless :o)

Spring Skiing!

We snuck in one more day on the mountain this year. This one was especially exciting because Grandma joined in on the fun. Super slushy conditions (and shorts under snow pants) since it was so warm, but we still had some fun.

Grand totals for the season:
Michaela: 7k vertical feet, 4 days
Sarah: 104k vertical feet, 13 days
Charlotte: 140k vertical feet
Alex: 305k vertical feet
Not so bad for a terrible snow year!

More zoo

So apparently the only time I take pictures is when we go to the zoo or go skiing. So I'm going to post this week about the zoo and skiing. It's better than no post at all, right? Anywho, we went to the zoo and played with a polar bear - which was cool and apt since we've decided in PC, March rolls in like a lion, and out like a polar bear.

Cookie Race

This weekend was C's last weekend of ski lessons, and the annual cookie race.

C and Alex took off around 8:30 per usual for a ski day. M and I poked around the house for a bit, and then took the bus in later avoiding the hassel of crouds and parking (pretty awesome). We got there in time for M to do a couple of runs on sweet pea (the magic carpet).

And then it was race time!

C skis

This past weekend the ski program invited the parents to ski with the kids for a few runs. Alex got some awesome video :)

C is the one with the blue helmet, coat, and blue patterned pants
