Hanging with the big kids

Yesterday was a big day for our dear little C. Beyond the usual Saturday gymnastics we had TWO parties to attend.

First up was Rochelle and Josh's oldest's 5th birthday party. Not surprisingly, the group was mostly comprised of 5 year olds, and was held at "pump it up" (a warehouse filled with giant inflatable bouncy/climbing structures). C was super shy at first and a little overwhelmed by the whole ordeal, but slowly warmed up to the idea of bouncing. One of the older siblings (I'm guessing ~10) took C under her wing, and from that point on she was off. Climbing with the other kids, sliding with the other kids, bouncing with the other kids, posing with pictures with the other kids, and then finally (pictured below), eating pizza in a glow in the dark room with the other kids. I swear if not for being short you would have never known the other kids had three years on her. Crazy stuff.

After the party a bunch of friends from my old team at work go together for dinner out. C seamlessly transitions from 5 year olds to charming 30 year olds (mostly men for the record). It was such a pleasant change from the monster she was the first half of the week.  Ahhh, the joys of two :o)
